Getting to Guatemala

Your journey begins at La Aurora International Airport (GUA) in Guatemala City, where we meet you and drive you to Antigua.

Closer than it feels.

Closer than it feels

Guatemala City sits in the middle of Central America, and many North American families are surprised how short the flight actually is compared with long-haul alternatives. Specific routings and durations depend on your home airport and season.

Live route options and flight durations from your home airport will be connected before launch. We do not publish flight prices or schedules we cannot verify.

The airport: La Aurora (GUA)

GUA is the single arrival and departure airport for this journey. After immigration and baggage, your Mayan World pickup meets you and takes you directly to Antigua — roughly an hour of driving, depending on traffic.

  • Arrival and departure both use GUA
  • Private pickup on arrival, coordinated with your flight
  • Direct transfer to your first night in Antigua

Why the journey starts on a Saturday

Every departure begins Saturday evening toward Antigua. That keeps the route, guiding and lodging aligned, and gives your family a full first day in Antigua after a night’s sleep rather than after a flight.

  • Exact-date selection allows Saturdays only
  • Flexible selection means a preferred month or season
  • Flexible trips still begin on a Saturday

Planning your flights

Aim to land on your chosen Saturday, with enough margin for immigration and baggage before the evening drive. International flights are not included in the journey.

A flight-search helper is planned for a later phase. For now, share your intended arrival window in your planning notes and we build the day around it.
